Sculpsure Body Contouring Toronto
What is Sculpsure?
Sculpsure is a non-invasive body contouring treatment intended for use on stubborn, pinchable body fat. Sculpsure effectively reduces body fat without invasive surgery or lengthy downtime.
The Sculpsure technology uses heat produced by a 1060nm diode laser to target and remove fat cells, effectively reducing unwanted superficial fat deposits and providing long-lasting results. Sculpsure raises the temperature of the adipocytes (fat cells) between 42℃ and 47℃, causing irreparable structural damage. The destroyed fat cells are then flushed out of the body by the lymphatic system over a period of several weeks. 2-3 treatments are typically performed 6 weeks apart, with a reduction in fat of up to 24% following treatment.
Sculpsure body contouring Toronto and fat loss has a patient satisfaction rate of over 90% and has currently been authorized by Health Canada for use on the abdomen, flanks, back, inner and outer thighs, and most recently, under the chin. Sculpsure body contouring Toronto can also be used “off-label” in other areas, including the calves and upper arms. Sculpsure body contouring Toronto is unique when compared to alternative fat loss treatments as it uses thermal energy (heat) to disrupt and destroy fat cells. Heat from the laser penetrates to the fat directly under the applicator in addition to spreading to the surrounding cells, causing a “feathering” effect. This results in a smooth and even redistribution of the remaining cells, without the tell-tale rippling or lumpy appearance caused by liposuction or treatments which freeze fat cells, such as CoolSculpting.
The ideal candidate for a Sculpsure body contouring Toronto is an individual who is normal weight or slightly overweight (body mass index <30) with a small amount of stubborn, pinchable fat. Sculpsure body contouring Toronto was not developed for significant weight loss, but for spot treatment of “trouble areas.” Many clients who experience visible and dramatic results maintain the same weight as their first session.
Despite this, Sculpsure can be performed on individuals of any weight, and up to a 24% reduction of fat has been reported in scientific studies and medical reports.
The Sovereign Skin pricing for Sculpsure is approximately $1200-$1800 for a single four applicator session (this pricing can change over time). Applicators can also be sold individually, however using all four applicators at one time is recommended. Package pricing with a discount may be available if multiple treatments are purchased at one time. The pricing is comparable to and often less than the price of other popular non-invasive fat loss treatments.
To prepare for your Sculpsure treatment, your Sculpsure provider may give you some instructions to follow. It is recommended that females schedule this treatment before or after their menstrual period to minimize discomfort. It is also recommended that clients avoid tanning (in the sun, a tanning bed, or with artificial methods) for at least one week prior to treatment. Clients are asked not to apply lotion or any other substances to the treatment area. Individuals with body hair in the area to be treated should shave prior to treatment. Lastly, an over the counter painkiller such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen can be taken prior to treatment to assist with pain management.
Details About Sculpsure Body Contouring Toronto:
At the time of the Sculpsure treatment, the client will be asked to remove or adjust clothing to expose the skin of the area to be treated. Confidential photos are typically taken, and the client may be weighed for purposes of comparison. The desired area is wiped clean using an alcohol pad, and a strap/belt is affixed to the area to be treated. It is adjusted so that it fits quite snugly, to slightly push out the fat and ensure contact with the applicator. Many different strap placements are possible to tailor the treatment to an individual’s specific needs (these may vary based on client size and areas of concern). For reference, one Sculpsure applicator is about the size of a playing card from a standard card deck. An oil solution is rubbed on the area to be treated to ensure no skin is pinched or pulled by the applicators. The applicators, attached via hose to the machine, are then clipped into the straps/belt.
The machine begins with a four-minute warm-up period (build-up phase) followed by 21 minutes of treatment (sustain phase). The treatment is 25 minutes long and alternates between heating and cooling to maximize patient comfort. Clients will feel heat where the applicators touch the skin; when performed in the abdominal area, some clients report a cramping sensation like a menstrual cramp. Other sensations patients may experience include intense heat, tingling, prickling, or squeezing in the treated area.
The heat can be turned down or paused if the client finds it unbearable. Typically, the heat is increased gradually throughout the treatment, and clients are encouraged to maintain the heat on the highest setting they can withstand. If discomfort is too high, there is a “cooling” button which can be selected to temporarily pause the treatment. The total treatment time will increase when this is selected, as the 21-minute treatment portion will resume following the break. Once the treatment has been completed, the applicators are removed. The skin will feel cool to touch, as the machine cools the outer layer of the skin for the duration of the treatment. The heat does not target the surface of the skin, but rather the fat cells under and around the applicator, penetrating 2.5cm beneath the skin. Mild pink colouration or redness is to be expected.
Post Treatment Reccomendations
It is recommended that clients ensure they are adequately hydrated following Sculpsure treatment, which helps encourage lymphatic drainage. Light massage is recommended for 5-10 minutes twice daily, beginning 24 hours after the initial treatment. A healthy diet is encouraged both prior to and following a Sculpsure session, and a normal exercise routine can be resumed immediately after treatment. For previously inactive individuals, light exercise such as walking is recommended 3-5 times a week to promote lymphatic drainage and circulation. Many clients experience temporary redness, tenderness, mild swelling, bruising or tissue firmness in the treated area. These symptoms typically resolve within two weeks following treatment. Many clients report that the sensation is comparable to the soreness experienced after a challenging workout. Approximately 5% of patients will experience small, firm, lumps referred to as nodules, which disappear over time with massage.
