How Does an InstaLift®Threadlift Work?
The thread lift uses advanced micro-suspension technology (MST) to rejuvenate mid-face tissue while stimulating the collagen and fibrin volume in your skin. With age, your elastic, skin-firming elements diminish, so dissolvable threads can restore some of what’s missing.
Before your treatment begins, your physician will explain the process and will create small, temporary marks with a pen. A topical anaesthetic can help keep you comfortable throughout the quick procedure. An entire threadlift can take just 30 to 45 minutes.
Small needle holes are made at entry sites for each thread, which is fed into position with an insertion cannula.

Facial Thread Lift Recovery
After your threadlift procedure, you can expect possible bruising or redness at needle entry sites and mild, overall facial swelling. Inflammation lasts a few days to 2 weeks in most cases.
After having a thread lift, you’ll be advised to:
- Avoid sleeping face down for roughly 10 days
- Don’t rub your face forcefully when washing and avoid facials or facial massages for 2 weeks
- Avoid dramatic, dynamic facial muscle movements
- Steer clear of direct sunlight or tanning beds for 2 weeks
- Don’t participate in impact sports or intensive cardio for 3 weeks
- Avoid saunas and hot tubs for 2 weeks
- Don’t plan to have dental surgery for 3 weeks
